Abstract

Purpose : The purpose is, in order to evaluate the extent of achievement of learning performance for ‘manage the population’s health within the health care system’ among the 8 program learning outcomes presented by the Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing Education, develop an evaluation system connecting academic subjects and extracurricular activities, and present directions for developing an evaluation system for each school.
Methods : This study is a methodological study intended to develop the evaluation system to ‘manage the population’s health within the health care system’ among the 8 program learning outcomes presented by the Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing Education.
Results : As for the results of this study, an evaluation system was developed to ‘manage the population’s health within the health care system’ through reference review, survey, and program learning outcomes evaluation system’s model setting process.
Conclusion : The evaluation system developed based on the results of this study can be actively used for the nursing education, and it is expected that it could contribute to improving the health management competency of the nursing students for the population at the time of graduation.
